Some Things I Think I Think: Poor showing in All-Star voting not a mystery

You could easily make the case that a few Red Sox players are deserving of being chosen for next month’s All-Star Game in Texas. Outfielder Jarren Duran is the most obvious choice, but there’s also catcher Connor Wong and third baseman Rafael Devers, both of whom are worthy contenders.

Maybe the current crop of young players, led by Duran, Wong, Triston Casas and Wilyer Abreu, will change that. For now, however, the Red Sox are reaping what they’ve sewn.Red Sox players aren’t attracting a lot of fan support. Duran and Wong are nowhere near the top in vote-getting at their respective positions.
