Before Lourde “Jenny” Meca became a case manager at the shelter at a former Best Western hotel in Concord, she was a shelter resident with her 2-year-old son.
“There’s nothing different, it was the same thing I was doing,” Meca said. “Since I was growing up I always wanted to help people.”
