SOUTHWICK – In September, after hearing a proposal from the Economic Development Commission to lower the speed limit on College Highway, the Select Board didn’t stake out a position on it.
Monday night it did: It was an unequivocal no.
“I’m against it,” said Board member Jason Perron, who wasn’t as emphatic in his opposition to the proposal made by EDC Chair Greg Deily in September saying the proposal to lower the speed limit by 10 mph on the highway and install crosswalks were “good things.”
