SOUTHWICK – The proposal to install no parking signs along South Longyard Road and its side streets in an effort to limit the number of visitors to the North Pond Conservation Area was scaled back significantly after a sometimes-feisty debate between the Select Board members.
“How do you enforce that … it seems problematic to me,” said board member Doug Moglin to a proposal by fellow board member Diane Gale to install no parking signs at the two entrances of Granaudo Circle.
On Monday night, the board continued its public hearing on a proposal made by the North Pond Conservation Area Task Force in September to install no parking signs along South Longyard Road in both directions starting at the parking lot for the conservation area.
