The Topsfield Fair — one of the oldest agricultural fairs in the United States — returned for its 206th year on Friday, Oct. 4.
The fair will last 11 days, concluding on Monday, Oct. 14. The Topsfield Fair celebrates local farm animals, agriculture, food, rides, vendors and performances.
Highlights include the hot dog eating contest, giant pumpkin weigh-off and the Dock Dogs competition, which is new to the 2024 season.
Performances for this year include Southern rock band 38 Special, country music duo Maddie & Tae and rock band Three Dog Night.
Tickets to Topsfield Fair are $20 and can be purchased online or at the fair. Children under 8 can enter the fairgrounds for free with a ticket-holding adult.
The Topsfield Fair is at 207 Boston St. in Topsfield on the North Shore. The fair’s hours vary, so check the fair’s website for a daily schedule.
