Sabrina Carpenter invites Dunkin’ customers to ‘shake that ess’ with new drink

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter takes the famous line “that’s that me espresso” from her smash hit song referencing the concentrated coffee drink to a new level through a new partnership with Dunkin’ — in which the singer invites customers to “shake that ess’.”

Debuting on New Year’s Eve, “Sabrina’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso” will be available for a limited time, according to Dunkin’. The drink combines “Dunkin’s bold espresso, brown sugar notes, and oatmilk,” and is “shaken to perfection,” the company said.

In the first video of the promotional campaign, Carpenter and company cheekily keep making plays on words with “shake that ess’” — a slight vowel change similar in sound to mentioning someone’s behind — while shaking espresso in drink mixers.

Carpenter, now a Grammy-nominated artist, saw a rise in fame and success this year with the release of her latest album “Short n’ Sweet,” featuring the earworm “Espresso.”

Dunkin’ said more footage featuring Carpenter will roll out on its social media in the weeks to come as the calendar flips to 2025.

In addition to the new drink, Dunkin’ is adding a new $5 meal deal on Dec. 31 featuring two wake-up wrap sandwiches made with egg, cheese and a choice of meat alongside a medium iced or hot coffee.

Dunkin’ is also introducing a “lava cake signature latte” that combines espresso with notes of chocolate lava cake and whole milk topped with whipped cream, mocha drizzle and a dusting of hot chocolate powder, it added.

There is also a new “lava cake coffee” similar in style, with both drinks served hot or iced.

A “chocolate whoopie pie speciality donut” — a glazed chocolate cake doughnut cut in half and filled with whipped vanilla-flavored icing — rounds out the new additions, according to the company.

Dunkin’ will also reintroduce its “iced lemon loaf” for a “slice of sunshine in the heart of winter,” as well as retain its “all-butter almond croissant” and “hash brown brisket scramble” on its menus.
