A woman from Rhode Island won $1 million playing the lottery in Massachusetts.
Lauren Lasso of Pawtucket, Rhode Island won $1 million playing “Diamond Deluxe.” The $30 game was released Sept. 10, 2024. It still has six $1 million prizes and two $15 million grand prizes remaining to be claimed as of Feb. 28.
Lasso chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes when she claimed the ticket on Feb. 14.
She told the lottery she plans on saving her winnings.
Lasso bought her winning ticket at Vista Donuts, located at 1096 Washington St. in Attleboro. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
