WESTFIELD – After a public hearing at the Dec. 9 City Council meeting on a zoning amendment to change a lot on 1295 Southampton Rd. from rural residential to residential B, submitted by R. Levesque Associations for Plumrose Development, the petition was withdrawn without prejudice, meaning that it could be brought forward again.
Rob Levesque, on behalf of property owners Matthew Gomes and David MacIver, said the purpose of the zoning change petition to residential B is to add two additional lots on the 12-acre parcel to allow for the building of duplexes.
