A person sustained life-threatening injuries in a shooting in East Boston on New Year’s Day, according to multiple media reports.
The shooting took place at around 6:07 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Marion Street in East Boston, Officer Michael Torigian, a Boston police spokesman, told The Boston Globe.
Arriving officers found a person with life-threatening injuries and took them to a hospital, NBC Boston reported.
Boston police could not immediately be reached for information on the shooting early Thursday morning.
At the scene Wednesday, officers blocked off much of Marion Street and could be seen placing evidence markers on the ground, the Globe reported.
