Reports: Missing man found dead in Mass. brook amid icy conditions

The body of a 67-year-old Sudbury man was pulled from icy waters near Codjer Lane Wednesday afternoon, according to multiple media outlets.

The man’s identity was not immediately released by the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office. His body had no obvious signs of trauma despite the freezing conditions, The Boston Globe reported.

The district attorney’s office did not respond to a request for information sent by MassLive Thursday morning.

Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix said the man had been reported missing earlier in the day and was the subject of a search, MetroWest Daily News reported.

“Preliminarily, it does not appear to be any criminality,” Nix told the paper.

The man was found near Cavicchio Greenhouses at 110 Codjer Lane, which sits adjacent to Hop Brook, MetroWest Daily News reported. The district attorney’s office said the man was found in a brook, according to the Globe.
