Sunderland – First Congregational Church of Sunderland, 91 S. Main St., Serendipity Shop is open on Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with items for sale at bargain prices.

Drive-in collection of donations
Springfield – Foster Memorial Church, UCC, will hold their monthly outreach “Drive-In Collection of Donations,” on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the church’s back parking lot. The focus this month is the collection of soup for the Emergency Food Cupboard of the Open Pantry in Springfield. All non-perishable food is also appreciated. The church is located at 1791 Wilbraham Road in the Sixteen Acres section.
Name that tune program
Monson – The Unitarian Church of Monson, 177 Main St., will hold a musical event they are calling, “Name That Tune”. Malita Brown, will be playing many old popular songs on the grand piano. Audience members are invited to name the song titles. It takes place on Sunday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. There will be a prize awarded to the winner during coffee hour. It is free and open to the public. If you think you know a lot of titles to older songs please come. If you don’t, come anyway.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
Windsor, Conn. – The Archer Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church is sponsoring the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration for the community on Monday, Jan. 15, 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Windsor Town Hall Council Chambers, 275 Broad St. The keynote speaker will be Windsor’s Mayor Nuchette Black-Burke. She is a lifelong resident of Windsor and has served the community for several years on the Town Council and previously on the Board of Education. The event is free and open to all. Grab and go meal
South Hadley – South Hadley Methodist Church, 30 Carew St., is offering a grab-and-go meal on Jan. 19. Meals are $12 and include homemade beef stew, pineapple upside-down cake, a beverage and a bun. Meals can be picked up on Jan. 19, from 5 to 5:30 p.m., in the church’s parking lot.
Meatloaf dinner
Ludlow – Knights of Columbus Chapter 3535 annual meatloaf dinner will take place on Saturday, Jan. 20 at St. Elizabeth Pastoral Center. Dine in meals start at 5:30 p.m., take out meals may be picked up at the center from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. The meatloaf dinner consist of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, veggie melody, rolls and dessert, coffee, tea or lemonade. Tickets are $20 per adults and children under 13 are $15 each. This dinner will benefit the Survival Center. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a giant raffle with approximately 15 items. Tickets will be sold after all masses the weekends of Jan. 6 and 13. One Shabbat One World
Longmeadow – Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy (LYA) presents “One Shabbat One World,” on Friday, Jan. 19. The festivities will begin with Shabbat services at 4:30 p.m. at LYA, 1148 Converse St. Dinner will follow at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will include a gourmet Shabbat dinner complete with Shabbat delicacies. A special children’s program is being planned. Guest speaker for the evening will be Rabbi Chaim Block. The fee for the dinner is $22 for an adult, 47 for children under 11 and a family price (two parents and all their children) of $55. R.S.V.P. by Tuesday, Jan. 16. Sunday services
Agawam – Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St., invites the community to Sunday morning services at 10 a.m. On the first Sunday of every month communion is served with bread and grape juice or with individually packaged wafer and grape juice. Following all Sunday services, there is a Friendship gathering in the church hall. Coffee, tea, and water are served along with various goodies and packaged treats. Juice is, also, available, especially, for children in attendance. Children can, also, visit the “Mural Room” where many animals are painted floor to ceiling on an entire wall. Additional adoration times
Agawam – St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main St. will offer weekly adoration ceremonies on Wednesdays between noon and 5:30 p.m. The Holy Mass takes place at 6 p.m. Lawn signs are available for Agawam residents announcing the Year of the Eucharist. Free weekly Veterans lunch
