ARLINGTON, Texas — Two weeks ago, as part of its All-Star festivities, Major League Baseball held the Home Run Derby at Globe Life Field. The Texas Rangers and Red Sox apparently liked it so much, they staged their own contest here Friday.
The teams combined for seven homers, four by Texas — all of them off Red Sox starter Kutter Crawford. The Red Sox, however, had a more balanced attack that featured plenty of production from the bottom half of their lineup.
