BOSTON — Triston Casas is (finally) getting close to returning to the Red Sox, but don’t expect him back before the club’s homestand ends Wednesday night.
Casas, who is in the lineup as the first baseman for Triple-A Worcester in Syracuse on Saturday night, is expected to keep rehabbing with the WooSox for the next few days. An early target date for his return to the majors could be Thursday when the Sox begin a seven-game road trop against the Orioles in Baltimore.
