WEST SPRINGFIELD ― The city has upgraded a rail crossing on Union Avenue Extension with fresh paint and new warning signs.
In the meantime, West Springfield and railway workers unions ― who’ve complained for six years about a much busier rail crossing on Memorial Avenue ― wait for the state to report on the troublesome site.
