PWHL Boston will play Montreal in the first round of the the league’s inaugural playoffs this postseason.
Boston will be the No. 3 seed during the postseason, while Montreal is the No. 2 seed. Toronto is the No. 1 seed this year, while Minnesota is No. 4.
As the top seed, Toronto had the option of choosing whether it wanted to play against Boston or Minnesota in the first round, and elected to go against Minnesota, leaving Boston for Montreal.
Here’s the schedule of the best-of-five semifinal series between Boston and Montreal. Boston’s home games are played at Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass.
Game 1, May 9: Boston at Montreal, 7 p.m. ET
Game 2, May 11: Boston at Montreal, 7 p.m.
Game 3, May 14: Montreal at Boston, 7 p.m.
Game 4, May 16:* Montreal at Boston, 7 p.m.
Game 5, May 19:* Boston at Montreal, 7 p.m.
The winner of this first round series will advance to the PWHL Finals and will look to be the first team in league history to win the Walter Cup.
