Public skate at Amelia Park on Sunday benefits Athenaeum

WESTFIELD – A public skate to benefit the Friends of the Westfield Athenaeum will be in the Amelia Park Arena, 21 S. Broad St. on Dec. 29 from 1 to 2 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults, $7 for children, with a $5 skate rental.

“This is the first time we are doing a public skate to benefit the Friends of the Westfield Athenaeum,” said Daniel Souza, president. Amelia Park will be donating a percentage of the cost for all public skate participants.

Souza said the funds raised will be used to support programs and services at the Westfield Athenaeum. In the past year, the Friends have provided support for 30 programs at the Athenaeum, between children’s, teen and adult programming.
