Good news for the Patriots if they want to improve their blocking with their first pick, the top two rated offensive linemen have both declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Texas’ offensive tackle Kelvin Banks declared his intentions to put his name in on Sunday after the Longhorns were knocked out of the College Football Playoff.
Experts are split on who is the best offensive lineman available in the draft — Banks, who could possibly play guard as a professional, and LSU OT Will Campbell.
The Patriots will select fourth overall. The top two selections are expected to be quarterbacks.
Banks posted a long thank you to Texas and the city of Austin on social media and closed his declaration by saying:
“After careful consideration, I have decided to forego my final season of eligibility and declare for the 2025 NFL DRAFT I will always bleed burnt orange and cherish the memories I’ve made here. Thank you, Longhom Nation, for everything. I look forward to representing Texas proudly in the next chapter of my journey.”
