Pittsfield Babe Ruth 13-Year-Olds curb Westfield comeback, force decisive Game 3

WESTFIELD – Pittsfield rallied from one run down, scoring four runs in the sixth inning and staved off a late Westfield comeback to squeak out a 5-4 win over the Whip City’s All Stars in the Babe Ruth Baseball Western Massachusetts 13-Year-Olds championship game Sunday night at Bullens Field.

Pittsfield seized the game’s first lead in the third inning. Westfield bounced back with two runs in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run single from Collin Taylor. Despite falling behind by three runs in the top of the sixth, the Whip City’s 13-Year-Old Ruthers rallied in the bottom half of the inning.
