PETA to place billboard along Mass. highway to honor bull killed after escape

The animal rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, intends to put up a billboard along Interstate 495 in Raynahm to “memorialize” a “brave” bull who escaped as it was being taken to a slaughterhouse but was later killed.

The billboard will feature a photo of a bull set against a blue background along with the messages, “I’m me, not meat” and “help others escape the slaughterhouse: please, go vegan,” according to the organization.
