Person stabbed outside Mass. mall on Sunday

A child was stabbed outside the Dartmouth Mall on Sunday, and police have arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.

Police went to the mall around 2:50 p.m. on Sunday after receiving a report of a possible stabbing in the parking lot outside of Five Below. When officers arrived, they found a person with stab wounds not considered to be life-threatening, Dartmouth police wrote in a Facebook post.

The person, who police described as under the age of 18, was taken to a local hospital. Police took a suspect into custody who was also under the age of 18.

Dartmouth police could not immediately be reached Monday morning to confirm the ages of the people involved.

The stabbing remains under investigation.
