
A pedestrian sustained “traumatic injuries” after being hit by a utility truck in Palmer Thursday afternoon, police said.
Palmer police went to an area of Boston Road near a Massachusetts Turnpike overpass at around 1:40 p.m. Thursday for a report of a crash involving a utility truck and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was seriously injured and taken by medical helicopter to a hospital, police said in a statement posted to Facebook.
Boston Road was closed while police investigated the collision but had reopened by about 8 p.m. Thursday.
