Pease, Matthews-Kane point to records in office during campaign for state rep.

WESTFIELD — Two candidates in a contested race for state representative are both pointing to their records as elected officials.

“I think I’ve done a good job supporting our community and our needs, and representing them down at the State House in a way that I think our community would like to be represented,” said state Rep. Kelly Pease, a Republican from Westfield running for a third term.

Bridget Matthews-Kane, his Democratic challenger, said she would bring to Beacon Hill a formula for success she has developed as a member of the Westfield City Council, to be “an effective advocate for our corner of the Commonwealth.”
