Overtime rules changing July 1: Here’s who qualifies

More people could soon be getting overtime pay.

The Department of Labor previously updated its Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), officially changing starting on July 1.

FLSA requires employers to pay employees a minimum wage and for employees who work more than 40 hours in a week to be paid overtime of at least 1.5 times the employee’s regular rate.
