Out-of-state company in denial on dismal state of former Springfield hospital (Editorial)

A Pennsylvania health care company once happy to do business in Springfield is now refusing to provide even the minimum of life support for the sick building it left behind.

With any luck, Vibra Healthcare’s connection to the city will be severed and a more responsible party – the city itself – will do what’s necessary to ensure the 1400 State St. building does not continue to pose a risk to the many people in its neighborhood, including students at two nearby public schools.
