Older brother of teen killed in ‘tragic’ Randolph crash dies days later

The older brother of a 15-year-old boy from Brockton who was killed in a late-night crash in Southeast Massachusetts this week has also died, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office reported

Makhi Boston, 18, died days after a crash on North Main Street (Route 28) in Randolph took the life of his brother Terry Boston Jr. on Tuesday, July 19, the DA’s Office reported.

Randolph police responded to the crash around 10:30 p.m. where they found Terry dead on the scene, according to the DA’s Office. Makhi was airlifted to the hospital where he later died, officials said. Two female passengers, who were also injured in the crash, were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

“I join the Randolph Police in extending my condolences to young Mr. Boston’s family on this tragic loss of life,” Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey said.

Initial investigation determined that a 2011 Nisan Altima was going south when it left the road and hit a tree in the area of 701 North Main Street, officials said. Authorities are still trying to determine how the car left the road.

A GoFundMe campaign has since been set up to help the Boston family during their time of need.

“Terry and Makhi Boston the most caring, loving and genuine souls were taken from us far too soon,” the campaign reads. “Nothing can prepare any of us for something like this.”
