SPRINGFIELD — The rollercoaster that embattled Springfield Police Officer Gregg Bigda’s employment continues its twists and turns.
Accused of a litany of civil rights violations since 2016 and weathering a federal police brutality trial after which he was acquitted in 2021, the former narcotics detective has ricocheted on and off the payroll while not stepping foot into the department for years.
