BOSTON — The Red Sox — who have scored just 30 runs over the last nine games (including their 4-1 loss in the continuation of a suspended game Monday) — will feature a different-looking bottom of their lineup for the regularly scheduled Game 2 against the Blue Jays on Monday night.
“It’s not happening right now, it’s been going on for a while here,” manager Alex Cora said of the offense Monday afternoon. “Most of them haven’t been in this situation before, every pitch matters, every at bat matters, we just have to make sure we slow it down. I don’t know if it’s pressure or good pitching. We just know we’re better than this and we know that and right now we’re not going through a good stretch. We’ll turn it around.”
