NORWICH – The Norwich Sea Unicorns and a costly, controversial call proved to be too much of a speed bump in the Westfield Starfires’ road to a Futures Collegiate Baseball League championship title.
Norwich third baseman Nick Tomasetto hit a walk-off, run-scoring double in the bottom of the ninth inning to stun Westfield 5-4 in Game 2 and earn a sweep of the best-of-3 championship series late Sunday afternoon at Dodd Stadium.
