NORTHAMPTON – With temperatures near triple digits and humidity on the rise, it was clear Monday night’s Pioneer Valley summer girls soccer league game between Pope Francis and Northampton was going to be challenging.
Despite those previous mentions, both teams remained determined to play until the final whistle. To keep things interesting, the Blue Devils and Cardinals were missing multiple key players, so this was a prime opportunity for most underclassmen to gain some crucial experience.
