WEST SPRINGFIELD – After a third-set loss, the pressure on No. 8 West Springfield boys volleyball grew. Their opponent, No. 9 Doherty, had dominantly led wire-to-wire, and its momentum only increased.
Just moments before the fourth set began, the Highlanders were clapping and cheering, flaunting their confidence. The Terriers, however, sang a different tune from their opponent. They stood stoic and focused on only one thing: winning the fourth set and taking the match.
