NORTH ADAMS — In a nail-biting moment, No. 2 McCann Tech baseball relief pitcher Dylan Turner intentionally walked opposing starting pitcher Connor Hinkell to load the bases with a one-run lead in the bottom of the seventh inning of Tuesday’s Western Massachusetts Class C championship against No. 1 Drury.
“I definitely had a little nerves going inside my stomach,” Turner said. “Initially, I thought, is it going to pay off? But I trust my coaches and everyone else on this team.”
