WEST SPRINGFIELD – The Westfield High School boys ice hockey team crashed the net and crashed the party, slipping past Minnechaug in overtime, 5-4, on the Falcons “Senior Night” Thursday at the Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield.
Nick LaComb scored the game-winner for Westfield, slipping the puck past the Minnechaug goalie 64 seconds into the overtime period. Joe Maffia (1 goal, 4 assists), who had a hand in all five Bombers goals, and Ryan Garvey assisted.
