With just under two weeks to go until the 2025 NFL Draft, one of this year’s top wide receiver prospects is facing troubling accusations that he called “patently false.”
According to multiple reports, former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond surrendered to Frisco Police on a sexual assault warrant. Bond was released from Collin County jail on $25,000 bail shortly after. Details on the accusation have yet to be reported.
Bond, who is expected to be a Day 2 pick in this month’s draft, released a statement on his Instagram page where he denied any wrongdoing.
“Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false,” Bond wrote. “I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation. Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review. I kindly request that all reserve judgment until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”
Bond spent two seasons at Alabama before transfering to Texas for the 2024 season. With the Longhorns, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound receiver established himself as a speedster who was a threat to break off big plays.
As a junior, Bond caught 34 passes for 540 yards, averaging 15.9 yards per catch. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he ran an impressive 4.39 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
