NEWTON – As time expired in the fourth quarter in the Newton North and Natick field hockey game Wednesday evening, Newton North’s defensive corner players – seniors Elizabeth Beckett-Houston, Samantha Lao, Macy Goodwin, and Karina Polnarev – set up alongside goalkeeper Izzy Lubbe-Lynch as the Redhawks had one more chance to score.
Natick’s inserter sent the ball up to the top of the circle, but the shot from just inside the circle went wide, and the game ended.
