New massage parlor in Boston area marks first Massachusetts location of chain

A new massage parlor that just opened in the Boston area lets guests curate their experience by allowing them to choose their own aromatherapy, music and more at no extra cost.

Squeeze, a fast-growing massage chain from the founders of haircare product company Drybar, opened its first Massachusetts location at Assembly Row in Somerville on Friday, May 17.

The new 3,645 square-foot space features 11 treatment rooms, bright lobby and waiting area where guests can select from four scents for aromatherapy during their session.

Squeeze specializes in personalized massages, including pressure, lighting, key focus areas, lotion/oil and more. Each massage includes a choice of deep tissue, heat therapy, percussion therapy and aromatherapy.

Appointments can be made through the Squeeze app or online. During the booking process, customers can choose the pressure level, what areas they want their massage therapist to focus on and provide any other details to tailor their experience.

Massages can last either 50 or 80 minutes, and prices vary based on membership or one-time booking. A Mid Membership comes with a 50-minute massage each month and is $95 per month.

A Main Membership is $125 a month and comes with an 80-minute massage each month. Non-membership prices include $129 for a 50-minute massage and $159 for an 80-minute massage.

Squeeze is located at 345 Revolution Drive in Somerville. The massage chain plans to open a location at Arsenal Yards in Watertown later this year. People can be one of the first 100 to sign up and win a free 50-minute massage at the Watertown location online.
