AMHERST – After both Amherst and East Longmeadow football teams combined for 46 points in the first half, both teams stalled to start the fourth quarter on Friday night.
And neither the Hurricanes nor Spartans scored until the latter tacked on three points thanks to a 34-yard field goal by Braden Gotta. Despite that moment, Amherst defeated East Longmeadow by a final score of 39-32 at Community Field.
