A man from Nantucket won $1 million from a $50 lottery ticket he bought on the island.
Julio Perez won $1 million from the “$25,000,000 Mega Money” scratch ticket game, which costs $50 per ticket to play and was released in May 2025.
Perez chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. He bought his winning ticket at Mid Island Fuel, which is located at 41 Sparks Ave. on Nantucket.
The shop will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
