SPRINGFIELD — Before a fatal hit-and-run crash on Boston Road on Monday, the suspect was in a collision earlier the same day and had received at least three separate citations for alleged speeding in the recent past.
During a press conference Thursday, Springfield Police Capt. Julio Toledo also said that on the morning of the fatal Boston Road incident, Nathan Colon, 18, was involved in a separate and unrelated collision from which he fled the scene. That crash was witnessed by officers.
