WEST SPRINGFIELD – No. 7 Minnechaug boys hockey coach Kyle Bousquet experienced a sense of déjà vu when No. 9 Longmeadow recorded back-to-back third-period goals to make it a one-possession game on Thursday night.
“My heart was racing after (Longmeadow) scored that first goal 20 seconds into the third period,” Bousquet said. “The last time we played against each other, they scored and tied the game fairly early in the third period. So we were unfortunately trying to stop a repeat of that, especially since they took it to us again.”
