Over the past couple weeks, MassLive asked winter sports coaches and athletic directors across the state to reflect on their team — and specifically the unsung heroes that make their program run successfully.
For some coaches, it’s the athlete who makes everyone else better. For others, it’s the athlete who is always up for a challenge and willing to fill in wherever needed.
