Ludlow’s Elena Chaplin and Westfield’s Antonio Adams both put on the best performances of their careers Saturday afternoon en route to first-place titles during the Outdoor Track & Field Meet of Champions at Fitchburg State University.
Just a few short months after winning the Indoor Track & Field Meet of Champions shot put event, Chaplin set a personal record with a throw of 43-1.75.
During the indoor event in February, her throw of 41-09 was a personal record.
