SPRINGFIELD — Johnnie R.S. McKnight knows how he wants to take on Springfield’s challenges. It’s what inspired him to run for state representative in the upcoming Democratic primary election.
The fifth-grade teacher who is a native to Springfield is running against incumbent state Rep. Bud Williams, who has served the 11th Hampden District since 2017, in hopes of becoming the Democratic Party’s nominee for the seat. There is no Republican candidate seeking the position.
