Mass. women seriously injures head in snowmobile crash with son

A Chestnut Hill woman seriously injured her head in a crash while driving a rented snowmobile with her 10-year-old son on the Lower Haystack Trail in Bartlett, New Hampshire, on Monday, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said.

At around 3 p.m., officials were notified of a crash on the Lower Haystack Trail off Bear Notch Road, the department said in a statement. The driver, Jiamin Wei, 40, failed to make a left turn while driving downhill and drove off the trail into a ditch and struck a tree.

Wei and her son were part of a tour group when the crash happened, the statement read. The tour guide quickly called for help and gave department officials their location.
