Mass. State Police bomb squad disposes of incendiary device at a home, report says

An incendiary device found at a Duxbury home on Thursday morning was safely disposed of by the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad, NBC 10 Boston reported.

The device was found at a home on Amado Road at around 11:33 a.m., fire officials told the news station.

It is unclear what the incendiary device was or what led to it being reported to law enforcement officials, though no one was hurt or hospitalized during the incident before it was considered safe.

“Safety is our top priority,” Duxbury Fire Chief Robert Reardon told NBC in a statement.

MassLive has reached out to the Massachusetts State Police for more information.
