Mass. State Lottery winner: $100,000 prize won off of scratch ticket

A $100,000 prize was claimed in Massachusetts Thursday off of the scratch ticket game “$15,000,000 Money Maker.”

The winning ticket was sold at Grampy’s General Store in Hanover. It was the largest prize won or claimed in Massachusetts Thursday.

Players need to match any of the numbers to any of the winning numbers to win a prize. Those who reveal a “star” symbol also win a prize. If you get a “2X”, “5X”, “10X”, “20X” or “200X” symbol, you’ll win 2, 5, 10, 20 or 200 times the prize. And those who get a “$100 burst” symbol will win $100 automatically.

There are still 27 remaining $100,000 prizes in the scratch ticket game. There are also still 2 grand prize tickets worth $15 million.

Overall, there was nearly 600 lottery prizes worth $600 or more won or claimed in Massachusetts on Thursday, including 14 in Worcester, 17 in Springfield and 51 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.

So far, the largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts in 2024 was worth $15 million. The prize was from the lottery’s “300X” scratch ticket game, and was claimed on June 13.
