Mass. sheriff takes ‘complete responsibility’ after arrest outside casino

In the wake of his arrest outside MGM Springfield on Saturday, Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi apologized for “not living up to the high standards I’ve set for myself, my staff, and the justice-involved population.”

Cocchi is facing a single charge of operating under the influence, according to a spokesperson for Attorney General Andrea J. Campbell’s office.
