Mass. residents killed in fiery crash on I-89 Sunday morning

A man and woman from Duxbury were killed in a crash on Interstate 89 in Vermont Sunday morning, according to Vermont State Police.

Sean Delaney, 19, and Elana Korey, 20, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 5:04 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway in Middlesex. When first responders arrived, they found the car fully engulfed in flames, Vermont State Police said in a brief statement.

Delaney was driving a 2006 Lexus ES330 and Korey was a passenger in the car, according to the statement. Speed is believed to be a factor in the single-vehicle crash.
