A 62-year-old man died after being pulled out of Walden Pond in Concord by lifeguards on Wednesday night, according to multiple reports.
The man, who lived in Allston, was not immediately identified by the Middlesex County district attorney’s office, according to The Boston Globe. A spokesperson for the district attorney’s office could not immediately be reached by MassLive.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police learned of a man struggling in the water at Walden Pond in Concord, the Globe reported. The man, who had been wearing snorkeling gear, was swimming outside the designated swimming area about 200 feet from the shore, according to WCVB-TV. Other swimmers in the pond found the man unresponsive, according to the Globe.
