Mass. man suspected of double stabbing killed wife in 2004, released in 2019

A Worcester man sought in connection with the stabbing deaths of two women on Saturday previously served prison time for stabbing his wife to death.

William Rodriguez, 59, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on Oct. 1, 2007, and was released on parole on June 7, 2019, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.’s office confirmed with MassLive.

He was charged with first-degree murder with the Feb. 10, 2004, stabbing death of his wife Carmen Rodriguez, the Telegram & Gazette reported. Prosecutors said it was motivated by their marriage failing and William Rodriguez being unable to be separated from their children.
