
A Billerica man faces charges in connection with a pedestrian crash in Bedford that left one woman dead, Middlesex Attorney Marian Ryan’s office said.
Joshua Quimby, 35, faces one count of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, Ryan’s office said in a statement. Quimby was cited for driving a car with a suspended license, a crosswalk violation and electronic device use while driving.
After a show cause hearing to determine probable cause, the criminal complaint was issued Wednesday, Ryan’s office said. His arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 15.
At around 3:36 p.m. on July 20, 2024, Quimby was driving a Volkswagen GTI when Tamar Vishlitzky, 53, of Concord, while she walked her bicycle across the road in a crosswalk in the area of the bike path.
